The S.O.I surveyors conduct bunker survey before and after supply (usually at Suez anchorage). This kind of survey is intended to make sure that the amount of bunker ( Fuel Oils and Gas Oils ) supplied from the barge or shore tanks is the same as being contracted between the vessel owner/charter and the supplier. We check the trim, make sounding for all bunker tanks for both vessel and supply barge, before bunker supply and repeat same work after bunker supply. We avoid our Client any bunker shortage, assure that the vessel received the nominated quantity. We also supervise bunker sampling during supply to assure the bunker quality (if required).
